Colm Cooper will captain the Kerry football team next season.
Dr Crokes, the County and Munster champions, have nominated the eight-time All Star for the position.
'The Gooch' previously captained the Kingdom in 2011 and 2012 and the 30-year-old forward takes over the role from the recently-retired Crokes club-mate, Eoin Brosnan.
