Ballymun Kickhams forward Dean Rock says their success so far this season is down to their off-the-ball attitude.

The 23-year-old Dubliner has hit 23 points as the Dublin champions emerged from Leinster en route to Sunday’s All-Ireland Club football final against St Brigid’s of Roscommon but insists that hard work in defence has paved the way.

“It’s a team effort, for sure, the complete effort," Rock told the Irish Times.

"I think we have a system we play to, where everyone works as hard, pressurises the man on the ball, and that always makes it hard for the opposition to score.

“You’ve seen how good our defence is, from Sean Currie in goal, all the way up, we’ve a very good record.

“We’ve got a group of very determined fellas, guys who want to achieve and win medals. This is the time, this is our moment.”
