Dublin GAA could lose the services as one of its brightest young stars as is being courted by two Australian Football League clubs.
Dual star Ciarán Kilkenny has long been linked with a move Down Under, and now it seems Hawthorn and Carlton are in a battle to land the 19-year-old’s signature.
However, the official AFL website has reported that the Castleknock clubman is still considering whether to remain at home.
Kilkenny was a member of the Dublin senior football squad this year, and started at corner-forward in the All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Mayo.
AFL.com.au reports that Carlton have been tracked the teenager for 18 months, as he is considered to have the perfect physical attributes for Aussie Rules.
Separately, the website claims youngsters Emmet Bradley from Derry and Sean Hurley from Kildare have been invited to attend an assessment camp in Melbourne in October.
