Billy Sheehan has been selected at centre-forward in the Laois side to face Monaghan in an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship qualifier at O’Moore Park on Sunday.
The Kerry native comes into the Midlanders’ side at the expense of Kevin Lillis.
Laois manager Justin McNulty has also made a couple of positional switches to the side that overcame Carlow in the first round of the qualifiers.
Kevin Meaney will replace Lillis to full-back from centre-back, with John O’Loughlin taking the number six jersey, while Colm Begley returns to a more recognised midfield role.
Laois were sent through the back door after their surprise loss to Longford in the Leinster preliminary round.
