Darren Quinn starts his first Championship game for Westmeath in goal against Louth in the All-Ireland football qualifiers on Saturday.
In the only change from the side which lost to Louth in the Leinster Championship six weeks ago, Quinn steps in for Gary Connaughton who has left for Boston. Michael Ennis will captain the side in Connaughton's absence.
John Heslin takes his place at midfield after undergoing keyhole surgery for a knee cartilage problem last week.
