Cork goalkeeper Alan Quirke was keen to share the plaudits with his defenders after keeping a clean sheet in the Rebels' Munster SFC win over Kerry.
The Valley Rovers man denied Kieran Donaghy a certain goal with a brilliant save just before half-time, but played down the stop that kept his team in the lead.
Quirke told RTÉ Sport: “He came in off his right and I was down on his boot. There were a few other defenders in his way so it was hard enough to get a shot off. As Billy Morgan always says, ‘That’s what I’m there for’.
“In fairness there was a lot of good block-downs in the first half so that was pleasing but you’d have to ask the question as to how they are getting into those positions as well. We’ll look at that during the week,” he added.
Conor Counihan’s men now face Clare in the Munster final and Quirke said he won’t be taking the task lightly.
“We’re into a Munster final now against Clare and they had a great win last night. We’re looking forward to that,” said Quirke.
“Clare will fancy their chances on the quiet, They’ve a good record against Cork over the years; they’ve always given us a good game ... I know they’ve got some good footballers and we’ll give them the respect they deserve.”
