Eamonn O’Hara and David Kelly are absentees on the Sligo team to face Galway in the Connacht SFC semi-final in Salthill on Saturday next.

Kelly has been dogged with ankle injuries in recent seasons, while O’Hara had a re-occurrence of a knee problem just before their preliminary round win over New York last month.

Both players failed to prove their fitness ahead of the Pearse as the Yeats county look to upset the Tribesmen. Other team news sees Johnny Martyn come in for Noel Maguire at full-back, with Eugene Mullen coming into midfield in place of Tony Taylor.

Galway have named an unchanged side to the one which overwhelmed Roscommon in the last round.

Galway: Adrian Faherty; Kieran Mc Grath, Finian Hanley, Keith Kelly; Gareth Bradhaw, Johhny Duane, Gary O Donnell; Joe Bergin, Greg Higgins; Gary Sice, Damien Burke, Thomas Flynn; Sean Armstrong; Paul Conroy, Mark Hehir.

Sligo: Philip Greene; Neil Ewing, Johnny Martyn, Ross Donovan; Charles Harrison, Mark Quinn, Paul McGovern; Shane McManus, Eugene Mullen; Brendan Egan, Pat Hughes, Alan Costello; Stephen Coen, Adrian Marren, Mark Breheny.
