The Tipperary Football Board have ratified the appointment of Peter Creedon as manager of the senior football squad.

He takes over from John Evans, who stepped down in the aftermath of Tipperary’s defeat to Sligo in the Allianz League.

Creedon, a native of Roscarberry in Co Cork, previously managed at minor and U-21 level with the Premier county and has a wealth of experience in managing club sides. Gerry McGill and Michael O’Loughlin are selectors in the new set-up.

Tipperary, already relegated from Division 3 of the Allianz League, face Offaly in their final league fixture on Easter Sunday, before their Championship opener against Kerry at the end of May.
