Derrytresk forward Joe McKee will be eligible to play in Sunday’s All-Ireland Junior Football Championship club final after the Tyrone outfit successfully appealed the suspension handed down by the Central Competitions Control Committee.

The ban was a result of the scenes which marred the semi-final clash with Dromid Pearses.

McKee is a key player for the Red Hand side and will now take his place in the line-up for the Croke Park decider against Clonbur of Galway.

The appeals of three other first team players and four substitutes was not successful at the Croke Park hearing, while Derrytresk will not be allowed to represent Tyrone or the province in club competitions for the next five years.

However, the club have had their fine reduced from €5,000 to €2,500.

The Central Hearings Committee has imposed restrictions regarding Derrytresk's involvement in Sunday's final, with only the manager, secretary, doctor (if any) and physiotherapist (if any) allowed on to the pitch area before the game, at half-time or in the immediate aftermath of the game.

Water carriers shall be provided by the CCCC.

During the course of the game, the secretary shall remain in the stand with the substitutes.

Only the team manager shall be permitted on the sideline.

Arising from the suspensions still in place, it is likely that Derrytresk will now take their case to the Central Appeals Committee.
