A crowd of 7,000 turned up at Healy Park on Wednesday to see Tyrone beat Fermanagh in the Power NI McKenna Cup, with both sides due to meet again in the semi-final of the competition on Sunday next.

The game saw new Fermanagh boss Peter Canavan come face to face with his old mentor Mickey Harte. In the end, victory went to the home side on a 0-13 to 1-07 scoreline, though Canavan can be pleased with the effort his side put in after they trailed 0-10 to 0-01 at the break.

Séamus Quigley was again to the fore for the Ernesiders with 0-05.

The Athletic Grounds in Armagh is the venue for Sunday's semi-finals, with Derry taking on Down at 2.00pm and Tyrone v Fermanagh at 3.45pm.
