Michael Shields of Cork and Dublin's Philly McMahon have been hit with four-week bans for their part in the half-time melee during last Sunday's Allianz Football League Division 1 final at Croke Park.
The suspensions handed down by the Central Competitions Control Committe will not prevent the pair from lining out in the championship, as Cork don't get their campaign underway until 22 May, the very day the ban will be lifted, while Dublin face either Laois or Longford a fortnight later.
A fine of €2,000 was handed down to each county board.
