Mayo footballer Billy Joe Padden is close to joining the Armagh panel for the upcoming season according to a report from The Irish News.
The 29-year-old is understood to have completed a move from the Bellmullet club to south Armagh side Carrickcruppen and recently trained with Paddy O'Rourke's squad.
Padden has won three Connacht senior championship titles and a National League with his native county.
He last featured for the green and red in their championship loss to Sligo last June when he came on as a second-half substitute.
