Terry Hyland and Val Andrews have been ratified as joint managers of the Cavan senior football team on a three-year-term following a meeting of the Cavan County Committee on Thursday night.
The pair will be hoping to revive the fortunes of the county who have slipped well down the pecking order in Ulster in recent years.
Andrews previously managed Cavan in the period 1998-2001, and guided them to an Ulster final in his final year in charge. He subsequently went on to manage Louth, the Leinster interprovincial side and Dublin minors.
Hyland was in charge of the Cavan Junior and U-21 sides this year and guided Lavey to win the Cavan Intermediate title for the first time last year.
