Michael Meehan is out of Galway’s All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Qualifier against Wexford on Saturday.
Meehan will miss the 2pm throw-in at Pearse Stadium after suffering an ankle injury in Galway's Connacht semi-final defeat to Sligo.
‘I got the injury scanned on Monday and while it is just a sprain it could take a few weeks,’ Meehan told The Irish Independent.
‘I will definitely not play against Wexford and if we get through I will just have to wait and see if it has recovered for the following week.’
