Rory Kavanagh looks set to return to Donegal colours

Donegal manager John Joe Doherty has confirmed that he expects to have forward Rory Kavanagh at his disposal for the Championship.

Kavanagh, has been in Australia for the last six months and is now available for selection again after returning home.

While the St Eunan's clubman will not play any part in Sunday's National Football League clash with Armagh, Doherty revealed that he could play a part in the Division Two final, should Donegal make it through.

'I was talking to Rory today and I would know that he keeps himself in reasonably good shape, but there's no point in getting excited at this stage,' Doherty said.

'It would be a lot to expect him straight back. I suppose if we got to the league final it would be an ideal opportunity for him to get a run out before the championship, but really I'm not looking beyond this weekend.'
