Leitrim's Emlyn Mulligan injured again

Promising Leitrim footballer Emlyn Mulligan has suffered a reoccurrence of the cruciate injury that ruled him out of the entire 2009 season.

Mulligan picked up the injury playing for his club Melvin Gaels at the weekend and it's uncertain how long he will be out of action for.

Mulligan burst onto the football scene in 2008 scoring 10 points against Galway in the Championship.

The news comes as a yet another blow for Leitrim this week who have already seen veteran attacker Colin Regan ruled out for the Championship with a serious knee injury.
