Louth have revealed the identities of their new football and hurling managers.

Former Louth player Peter Fitzpatrick has been appointed as the county’s football manager, while Meath native Paddy Kelly will lead the hurlers forward.

Fitzpatrick had enjoyed a successful tenure as manager of the Leinster side’s minor side and was widely-touted as the ideal candidate to replace Eamonn McEneaney.

The two new bosses were selected at a meeting of the county board last night, but still have to be officially ratified.
