The famous Armagh footballing twins, John and Tony McEntee, from Crossmaglen have decided to hang up their boots for good.
Confirmation of their retirement comes just two weeks after Crossmaglen's bid for a remarkable 14th consecutive Armagh SFC success was thwarted by Pearse Og at the quarter-final stage.
It was only the second ever defeat the twins had experienced during their 14 years of competing in the county championship.
After losing to Mullaghbawn in 1995, the 32-year-old brothers were key figures on the Cross side that went on to equal Ballina's record of 13 consecutive county football titles.
They also won six Ulster club championships and four All-Ireland club medals with the all-conquering black and ambers.
By coincidence, the twins also retired from inter-county football at the same time in April 2007 after winning six Ulster championships, one National League title and one All-Ireland medal in 2002.
