Former Meath boss Sean Boylan has laughed off rumours that he is set to become the next manager of the Laois senior footballers if Sean Dempsey is forced out.
Dempsey will put his case for another year at the helm of the O'Moore County at a meeting of the Laois County Board tonight.
As of now, the signs are that the St Joseph's clubman will get the support of the players to continue on, in spite of overseeing a disappointing year for Laois which saw them exit the championship rather tamely against Down in the qualifiers.
Boylan has denied an approach for him was made. Speaking to the Irish Independent, the Duboyne native said: 'This is the very first I have heard of it. I'm completely unknown to this.'
