Tyrone's Sean Cavanagh paid tribute to his midfield colleague Kevin Hughes for his commanding display in the victory over Antrim.

Cavanagh began the game marking 6' 7" Niall McKeever, but swapped with Hughes after ten minutes as he struggled in the early stages.

Cavanagh, who went on to score 1-04, revealed: 'I was finding it tough enough against Niall McKeever. He's a massive player, 6' 7", and his arms felt like they were 6' 7" too.

'I was struggling early on. Kevin and myself compliment each other very well. Kevin has that wee bit of muscle, that wee bit of fight and maybe he was able to wrestle McKeever out of it a few times, whereas I would not have that kind of body strength.'

He added: 'I was lucky enough because Kevin was allowing me to break forward and I was lucky enough to get a few scores. But when you the likes of the fellas we have inside, the likes of Stephen O'Neill, Tommy McGuigan and guys like that, hey're able to retain the ball and pop it off.'
