Redmond Barry has been named at centre-forward in the Wexford team to face Kildare in the Leinster SFC quarter-final at Dr Cullen Park on Saturday evening.

The St Anne’s clubman missed the Model County’s NFL Division Two campaign as he was travelling.

The Slaneysiders could have down with his playmaking services as they picked up just one points from seven games on their way to relegation to Division Three.

Manager Jason Ryan will be hoping his men can somehow recapture the form that brought them to the All-Ireland semi-finals last year.

However, they could well be without the services of sharpshooter Matty Forde for the duration of the summer as he struggles to overcome with a back problem.

The only debutant for Wexford will be Aindreas Doyle, who takes up position at left-half back.
