Former Australian Rules star Tadhg Kennelly will make his Championship debut for Kerry in Sunday's Munster SFC semi-final clash with Cork in Killarney.
The Listowel clubman will form a midfield partnership with Micheál Quirke.
That means that veteran Darragh Ó Sé will, as expected, start on an experienced bench alongside the likes of Seán O'Sullivan, Bryan Sheehan, Eoin Brosnan and Mike Frank Russell.
Sheehan's exclusion means that Darren O'Sullivan will start in the full-forward line alongside Colm Cooper and Tommy Walsh.
23-year-old O'Sullivan has struggled to nail down a starting place in previous years, but his position as captain might help his cause when manager Jack O’Connor sits down to select his sides this summer.
Tommy Griffin will fill the centre-back berth, with regular number six Aidan O'Mahony moving across to the wing.
Seamus Scanlon has been named among the substitutes after he recently returned from an ankle injury. However, Anthony Maher and Kieran Donaghy are likely to spend considerable time on the treatment table.
Meanwhile, Cork manager Conor Counihan has made just one change to his side for Sunday's clash.
The only change sees Paddy Kelly take over from Paul O'Flynn in the Cork attack.
Aside from that, the side is the same as the one that started in the 14-point win over Waterford in Dungarvan on 24 May.
