Coman Goggins's Dublin v Meath preview

Dublin football manager Pat Gilroy has named three championship debutants in his side to take on Meath in Sunday's Leinster football quarter final.

Denis Bastick starts at full back, with Alan Hubbard in the left full back position, while Mark Davoren is handed the full forward berth as the Metropoliatans begin their quest for a first All-Ireland title since 1995.

Not included in the starting XV are Bryan Cullen, Ciaran Whelan, Jason Sherlock and Shane Ryan.

Apart from long term absentee Shane O'Rourke, Meath report a clean bill of heath ahead of the meeting with their fiercest rivals, with Brian Farrell only a slight concern after he did not train last Thursday.

At this stage, Sunday's encounter at Croke Park is unlikely to be a sell out with 65,000 expected for the double header which also features Dublin v Antrim in a novel Leinster hurling championship tie.

So far, 40,000 tickets have been sold, with little interest from Antrim, as the inclusion of the Glensemen in the eastern province seems not have whipped up a sense of anticipation within the county.
