Waterford look likely to have the services of dual stars Gary Hurney and Shane Walsh when they face Cork in Sunday’s Munster SFC clash in Dungarvan.

Déise football boss John Kiely has said he is 'almost 100% sure' that hurling counterpart Davy Fitzgerald will sanction the pair's involvement against the Rebels.

Fitzgerald's hectic training schedule has left the duo no time for the big ball, but Kiely is unduly not worried by that fact.

'Gary is 6' 4", 15 stone and fully fit,' Kiely told The Star.

'He is a superb footballer, a big man with a low centre of gravity. One to on e he will stand up with the Cork players. He can slot it. He is a natural like the Tyrone boys.

'Shane Walsh is also a great player, who can score off either foot and is physical. Both are natural players. I have no fears about their skill levels.

'It would be different if we had to get them fit to do a heap of running.'
