Dublin supremo expects packed Croker

Will the Hill be basked in blue when the Dublin hurlers run out to play Antrim in the first of the double header?

Dublin chairman Gerry Harrington is confident that Croke Park will be full to capacity for the Dublin hurlers and footballers on 7 June, despite the economic downturn.

Even though a crowd of only 20,545 saw the NFL finals at Headquarters on 26 April, Harrington expects a packed house for the double header with the Antrim hurlers and Meath footballers Speaking to Hoganstand.com, he said: 'We would hope to fill it. We will certainly go close to filling it anyway.

'There will be a big interest from Meath and Antrim too and we would hope that there are plenty of Dublin supporters there in the ground by the time the hurling match starts.'

As yet, Dublin do not know their exact allocation and don't expect to find out until next week.

'With two of our teams playing there, we'd hope to get a large allocation and then if there were any returns from the other participating counties, we would be hoping to take some of them too,' added Harrington.
