Ahead of their attempt to regain Sam Maguire, Kerry have been given a boost with the news that veteran attacker, Eoin Brosnan, has returned to training.

The three-time All-Ireland winner has not lined oout for the Kingdom since last September's defeat to Tyrone at Croke Park, missing his county's entire successful NFL campaign, which suggested he would play no part in the upcoming campaign.

However, the return of the Dr Crokes ace last night is reported to be one of a number of new faces brought into the squad since the NFL success, as preparation for the Munster SFC opener with either Cork or Waterford on 7 June.
