Cavan forward Dermot McCabe is not included in his manager’s plans for the upcoming Football Championship.
Cavan boss Tommy Carr is quoted in The Irish Sun as saying: ‘I am sure that Dermot has quit the panel and won't be with us. He was speaking to one of my selectors and is unable to give the commitment at the moment.
'The team is pressing on; you can't have Dermot McCabe forever. He has given incredible service to Cavan football through the years and brought a huge amount of experience in with him because this is a relatively young team.'
McCabe, 33, made his debut for Cavan in 1995 and has been a regular ever since.
