Tadhg Kennelly is set to assume a coaching role with the Kerry County Board.

A report in today's Irish Independent confirms that the former Aussie Rules footballer will take up employment as a coaching officer with the county's extensive coaching system.

County chairman Jerome Conway confirmed: 'It has not been formally announced yet but he is taking up a role as a coaching officer. It's great news for us because you are talking about a man with huge experience.'

He added: 'He also did coaching in Australia as part of his training so he has the experience of working with juveniles.'
