FULL-TIME: Cork 2-13 Kerry 3-14
Once again, I've got to say what a game! It's hard work trying to keep pace with what's happening on the pitch when games are as eventful as that, but as a neutral spectator you couldn't ask for anything more. I'd have to agree with Colm O'Rourke who said it was a 'marvellous exhibition' and one that 'restores faith' in the game after the controversies of last week. It has been a pleasure to watch, and both sets of players can take great pride in their performances today. Cork looked like they were set for a place in the final after surging back from eight (or was it more?) points down to equalise, but Kerry, displaying the mark of true champions, dug deep and came good with vital scores in the closing minutes to see them through for another tilt at the three-in-a-row. Afterwards, Joe Brolly paid tribute to the Kingdom's forward line, insisting: 'It's Kerry's scoring that has got them this far because their full-back line is at sixes and sevens.' And with 3-14 on the board in an All-Ireland semi-final, they will take some stopping by either Tyrone or Wexford on 21 September.
70 + 2 mins Cooper takes his total to 1-08 on an exceptional afternoon for the perennial All Star. 2-13 to 3-14
70 + 1 mins Goulding points to bring it back to three points and Daniel Bohan replaces Tommy Walsh. 2-13 to 3-13
68 mins SENDING-OFF! Cork's Derek Kavanagh sent-off for a petulant kick at Cooper after the Kerry ace showed him a clean pair of heels.
68 mins The magnificent Scanlon points for Kerry to extend their lead to four points. 2-12 to 3-13
66 mins GOAL! The ball is brilliantly and patiently worked in by substitutes Darren O'Sullivan and Moran, for the former to pass for Cooper on the square to drive past Quirke. It's some game now. 2-12 to 3-12
66 mins Kerry's David Moran on for Brosnan.
65 mins Cork get the equaliser that their second half display deserves with Donnacha O'Connor's spectacular fourth point of the day. 2-12 to 2-12
64 mins Kerry's Sean O'Sullivan comes on for Sheehan.
63 mins GOAL! Pearse O'Neill is played in on goal and he makes no mistake with an emphatic finish past Murphy. Cork are now just a solitary point behind. 2-11 to 2-12
60 mins Masters hits the right post with an ambitious boomer from out left, but Cork fail to capitalise on the rebound and Kerry clear. However, a foul seconds later allows Donnacha O'Connor to reduce the deficit to just four points with 10 minutes remaining from a left-wing free. Cork have outscored Kerry 0-08 to 0-04 this half. This would be some comeback! They couldn't do it, could they? 1-11 to 2-12
56 mins Declan O'Sullivan is booked and Masters points from play at the other end to set up a 'thrilling last 15 minutes', as Ger canning says! 1-10 to 2-12
54 mins Goulding just about converts another close range free. The scores are coming quick and fast. Is the Cork comeback on? 1-09 to 2-12
52 mins John Miskella fists over. 1-08 to 2-12
51 mins Goulding points from play after Kerry fail to clear their lines. Darren O'Sullivan on for Quirke. 1-07 to 2-12
50 mins Brosnan points well on the counter-attack after good play from O'Sullivan and Cooper. 1-06 to 2-12
49 mins Cork's Paul Kerrigan replaces Hayes.
48 mins Donaghy fields the ball brilliantly at midfield, and his quick pass to Tomás Ó Sé, allows the Kerry captain to split the posts confidently. 1-06 to 2-11
47 mins An excellent move involving Cussen and Murphy ends with Masters striking a harmless shot wide.
45 mins Goulding slots over another free to take his personal tally to 1-04. 1-06 to 2-10
44 mins Cooper casually converts another free from close range. 1-05 to 2-10
42 mins Goulding slots over a free after Murphy is penalised for holding the ball too long under pressure from three Cork attackers. Cork's James Masters comes in for Kevin McMahon. 1-05 to 2-09
40 mins Griffin is shown the black card for a charge on Hayes, even though he was in possession, and O'Connor slots over. 1-04 to 2-09
39 mins Donnacha O'Connor sees another free come back off the post for Cork. It's just not looking like Cork's day today.
38 mins Walsh pops over an excellent point to bring his tally to 1-02. 1-03 to 2-09
36 mins GOAL! Cork are back to square one again as Kerry burst from the blocks at the start of the second half. Declan O'Sullivan receives the ball, plays a one-two with Kieran Donaghy and slots home from just outside the square to restore Kerry's eight-point advantage. 1-03 to 2-08
Cork half-time change: Fintan Gould on for Sean O'Brien.
HALF-TIME Cork 0-03 Kerry 1-08 Cork are somehow just five points behind after a one-sided opening half in which their play lacked direction, cohesion and accuracy. Michael Cussen moved to midfield at an early stage in the game but his Cork team-mates continued to pump high balls into a full-forward line devoid of a commanding figure. Pointless against the likes of Griffin and O'Sullivan, who have looked comfortable throughout. Their carelessness in front of the posts, when opportunities did arise, has also been a feature of the first 35, while Kerry have looked typically composed and potent at the other end. But with five points in it, the game is still there for the Rebels, and after their two sensational comebacks against Kerry this year, who would bet against them doing so again today? Find out how the game evolves right here on RTÉ.ie.
35 + 2 mins GOAL! John Hayes finds Goulding about 20 metres out and the Corkman turned Tom O'Sullivan brilliantly and hammers the ball high to the net with Diarmuid Murphy helpless. A wonderful strike and maybe just the boost the Cork forwards and team in general need to ensure Kerry don't run away with this match in the second half. 1-03 to 1-08
35 + 1 mins Daniel Goulding is deservedly booked for a dangerously high shoulder on Scanlon.
33 mins A move started by a Tommy Griffin burst from the back and finished with Brosnan finding Cooper to slot over, produces a wonderful team score for Kerry. The Kingdom are rampant and are now eight points clear. Could there be a repeat of last week's disintegration by Kerry? It looks hugely unlikely now. 0-03 to 1-08
32 mins Lynch is harshly booked but Cooper narrowly misses the target from the resulting free. 'Justice is done,' says Mr Carney in the commentary box.
30 mins Cork manager Conor Counihan tries to stem the tide by replacing Duggan with Michael Shields.
27 mins The peerless Cooper slots over another free to take his tally to five for the afternoon. This could turn into a rout if Cork don't do anything to arrest it. 0-03 to 1-07
Martin Carney pinpoints Cork's deficiencies thus far, suggesting 'Cork are aimless, there's not much movement in the forwards.' That will need to be rectified if they are to advance to the final.
26 mins Cooper gets his fourth score of the afternoon with a booming free from out the field. 0-03 to 1-06
24 mins GOAL! Tommy Walsh scores his first Championship goal when he once again uses his considerable strength to hold off Duggan, and his direct piercing run towards goal culminates in a composed left foot finish past the helpless Alan Quirke. 0-03 to 1-05
23 mins Yellow card for Donnacha O'Connor for a foul on Aidan O'Mahony.
21 mins Canty dispossesses Sheehan and finds half-back partner Noel O'Leary, whose drive forward is only halted by a foul. Donnacha O'Connor keeps his nerve to convert the free. 0-03 to 0-05
19 mins Cooper again slots over an acute free from the right with his trusty left foot and Kerry are now three points clear. Cork's forwards will need to find their range soon if they are to keep the Kingdom in sight. 0-02 to 0-05
17 mins Kerry double their lead again as Cooper converts another free. 0-02 to 0-04
15 mins New man Quirke, not for the first time, wins the resulting kick-out, lays the ball off to midfield partner Seamus Scanlon, who wastes no time in splitting the posts with his right foot from about 40 metres out. 0-02 to 0-03
14 mins Daniel Goulding restores parity with a confidently struck left-footed free from around the 45 metre line. 0-02 to 0-02
11 mins Nicholas Murphy receives a tick for a foul but Bryan Sheehan surprisingly strikes wide.
10 mins Cork finally register their first score at the sixth attempt when Donnacha O'Connor breaks clear and fists over after what match commentator Ger Canning describes as a 'measured build-up'. 0-01 to 0-02
9 mins Tommy Walsh uses his strength to hold off Diarmuid Duggan and keeps his poise to send over a graceful point and stretch Kerry's lead to two points. 0-00 to 0-02
8 mins Graham Canty finds Michael Cussen, but again the big man's shooting is wayward and Cork have yet to hit the target.
6 mins Cork have started well, but despite enjoying the majority of possession they have hit four or five wides in the first six minutes. 'A jittery start for their forwards,' says RTÉ co-commentator Martin Carney.
Michael Quirke starts at midfield for Kerry in place of the suspended Darragh Ó Sé. Eoin Brosnan starts instead of Donncha Walsh.
2 mins Donnacha O'Connor, restored to the team after having his suspension rescinded, strikes wide from a free in the opening minute. Colm Cooper slots over at the other end to put Kerry in front. 0-00 to 0-01
1.59pm Joe Brolly can only see a Kerry victory, 'Unless God is on Cork's side.' 'I'd echo that,' says Colm O'Rourke in The Sunday Game studio. Game on!
1.57pm Referee Jimmy White had a lengthy talk with both captains before throw-in, no doubt stressing the importance of avoiding the controversy of last week's initial encounter.
1.45pm Conditions at Croke Park are perfect, with little wind and a warm calm making conditions ideal for this mouth-watering occasion. Tyrone prevailed in the minor match, 1-21 to 2-07 winners over Meath.
