Offaly senior football manager Pat Roe has tendered his resignation in the wake of the Faithful County's Championship exit.
Roe's decision comes on the back of his side's massive 18 point home defeat against Down in Saturday's first round qualifying match.
He informed county board chairman Pat Teehan that he felt it was in the best interest of Offaly football not to to seek a third year as manager.
Roe, who previously managed Carlow and Wexford, is set to step down with immediate effect and will become the fourth football manager to quit in three days.
He follows Donal Keoghan, who stepped down as Cavan football manager earlier today, Longford boss Luke Dempsey and Meath manager Colm Coyle who both quit following defeats in the qualifiers.
