No resolution in Cork players' strike

There was no resolution to the players' strike in Cork last night when representatives of the county hurling and football teams met with board officials.

The message from both sides was a firm 'no comment'. Further meetings seem to be required to avert the possibility of Cork either being severely depleted or even absent from the start of the Leagues.

However, the football panel will be going on their holiday for reaching the All-Ireland final.

The players, some of the officials they are in dispute with and former manager Billy Morgan will head to South America on New Year's Eve for a trip to Brazil and Argentina.
