Moorefield retained the Kildare Senior Football Championship with a 2-09 to 0-11 victory over Sarsfields this afternoon.

Second half Moorefield goals from Paddy Murray, who finished with a personal tally of 1-05, Jason Phillips were enough to deny their Newbridge opponents.

Gearoid O'Grady's 1-06 inspired Tullamore to a 1-12 to 0-12 win over Shamrocks in Offaly.

Eamon O'Hara added a Sligo senior county medal to the Connacht medal he won with the county during the summer as he captained Tourlestrane to a 1-09 to 0-10 success against Eastern Harps.

Thomas Henry netted the game's only goal in the first half, while county player Gerry McGowan contributed 0-07 of Tourlestrane's total.

Elsewhere, there were wins in Cavan for Cavan Gaels, while Mayobridge and Longstone drew in Down.
