Peter McDonnell has been appointed the new Armagh senior football manager, succeding Joe Kernan.
McDonnell beat out Paul Grimley and Michael McConville to land the role as the Armagh county board confirmed the decision tonight.
McDonnell, from Mullaghbawn, was the manager who guided the Armagh Under-21 side to success in the Ulster Championship this season.
He has also enjoyed stints in charge of club sides Mullaghbawn, Errigal Ciaran, Burren and Armagh Harps.
