Charlie Mulgrew's reign as Fermanagh manager has come to an end

Charlie Mulgrew has quit as Fermanagh senior football manager after the loss to Meath in the All-Ireland qualifiers last night.

The Donegal man oversaw a golden period in the county's history, with the highlight coming when the Ernesiders reached an All-Ireland semi-final in 2004, where they fell to Mayo.

The Ulster side have also built up a reputation as a tough side to topple in the qualifiers, with Meath falling victim to Mulgrew's men two years in-a-row.

However, the Royals reversed that trend last night with a 0-11 to 0-09 win at Páirc Tailteann in Navan.

Fermanagh had their chances to progress, but a failure to take vital chances has left them out of the Championship and without a manager.
