Mayo, last year's beaten All-Ireland football finalists, were the big casualties in the Championship today, losing to Derry in Round Two of the football qualifiers.
Mayo were comprehensively beaten on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-06 at Celtic Park.
In today's other football qualifiers, Donegal beat Westmeath by 1-13 to 1-08 in Cusack Park, Louth beat Kildare by 1-16 to 1-10 in Newbridge, and Meath beat Fermanagh by 0-11 to 0-09 in Navan.
In the Tommy Murphy Cup semi-finals, Antrim beat Clare by 1-11 to 0-10 in Ennis, and Wicklow eased past Waterford by 2-15 to 0-14 in Aughrim.
Hurling
In Round Three of the All-Ireland hurling qualifiers, Tipperary edged out Cork by 2-16 to 1-18 in Thurles. Read Ger Canning's report.
Earlier, Ger Loughnane's Galway overwhelmed Antrim by 2-31 to 1-09 in Pearse Stadium to qualify for the quarter-finals, Clare beat Laois by 2-14 to 1-11 in Portlaoise, and Offaly comfortably overcame Dublin by 2-25 to 2-13 in Tullamore.
In the The Nicky Rackard Cup quarter-finals, Roscommon beat Monaghan by 4-19 to 1-08, Louth thrashed Warwickshire by 4-26 to 1-03, Armagh beat Tyrone by 2-19 to 1-09, and Donegal overcame Longford by 2-14 to 2-08.
There were four fixtures today in Round 5 of the Christy Ring Cup.
In Group 2A Meath beat Down at Ballycran by 1-21 to 2-12, while Westmeath beat Kerry by 1-14 to 1-11 at Cusack Park.
In Group 2B Carlow beat London by 2-16 to 3-10 in Ruislip, and Derry beat Wicklow by 3-20 to 3-12 in Ballinascreen.
