Gerard Cavlan has been cleared to play against Donegal in the Ulster SFC semi-final on Sunday week.

The Dungannon Clarkes man received a straight red card while playing in the club championship against Killyclogher last Sunday.

He has had a four-week suspension imposed, but the ban is restricted to club football, and will not interfere with his county commitments.

Ryan Mellon received a similar suspension last week, and is also free to face Donegal at Clones.

The availability of both players will come as a relief to Tyrone manager Mickey Harte, who is facing an attacking crisis.

Brian McGuigan, Tommy McGuigan and Niall Gormley are all ruled out through injury, while Stephen O’Neill is rated as doubtful.
