Donegal boss Brian McIver is hopeful that Brendan Devenney will recover from his stomach muscle injury in time to start their Ulster SFC match against Armagh on Sunday.
He is also optimistic about the chances of Niall McGee and Brian Roper making the starting XV.
'The three lads took a full part in a training session on Saturday and they weren't complaining about any soreness afterwards,' McIver told the Irish Independent.
'So I'd be very hopeful that we'll be able to consider all three players when we sit down to pick the team on Thursday night.'
Their opponents Armagh are unbeaten in the Ulster Championship since 2003, but Donegal went through Division One of the NFL unbeaten this season and start the match as favourites.
Despite his team's form, McIver insisted that Armagh would present a serious obstacle.
'You could hardly ask for a stiffer challenge than a game against Armagh, and we know we have it all to do on Sunday. Armagh's record over the past few years speaks for itself.
'They have the better of games against Donegal, and they’re going for their fourth title. As well, they’ve won six of the last eight Ulster titles, and that’s a fantastic achievement in modern-day football.'
The Orchard county are definitely without long-term absentees Francie Bellew, JP Donnelly, Brian Mallon and Ronan Clarke.
Diarmuid Marsden has come out of retirement for the campaign and is likely to start, along with fellow veteran Kieran McGeeney.
