The Longford County Board have succeeded in their bid to clear forward David Barden to play in the Bank of Ireland Leinster SFC opener against Westmeath at Pearse Park on Sunday.
Barden appeared before the Central Appeals Committee at Croke Park in an attempt to have his four-week suspension overturned.
He was sent-off against Clare in a recent league match with the ban backdated to the day of the game.
The Central Hearings Committee had initially ruled that Barden's suspension only commenced from the date of their meeting on 26 April.
