Kildare give Allianz NFL starts to wing back Mark Scanlon and corner forward Murt Donnelly for Sunday's Division 1B tie against Armagh in Newbridge.

Scanlon - from the Round Towers club - has come up through the U-21 ranks, winning a provincial medal in the grade.

Donnelly, whose brother Kenneth is chosen at left half  forward,  turned in some good  performances in the O'Byrne Cup and Shield, as well as for his club Ellistown in last year's domestic championship.

Dermot Earley captains the team from midfield, forming an experienced partnership with Killian Brennan. Clane's David Lyons reverts from wing back to the fringe of the square - a position he held down a couple of seasons ago.

Allenwood's Mark Hogarty - another former U-21 star anchors the defence, linking up at half back with the youthful Scanlon and the experienced Anthony Rainbow. Hogarty's  clubmate John Doyle  reverts to  the forty, with  Tomas O'Connor son of former Offaly All Star Tomas  selected at full forward.
