Kieran Donaghy has been named at midfield in the Kerry team to play Mayo in the Allianz National Football League meeting at Castlebar on Sunday.
Donaghy was named as Footballer of the Year last year for his performances at full-forward but new manager Pat O'Shea has named the Austin Stacks man as partner to Darragh Ó Sé in the centre of the park.
Micheal Quirke has been selected at full-forward, while Eoin Brosnan and Colm Cooper, both of Dr Crokes, are named in the team despite the club's involvement in the All-Ireland Club Championship.
Cillian Young and Brendan Guiney come into the side captained by Brian Sheehan.
