RTÉ news has learned that the eight times All-Ireland winning Páidí Ó Sé is about to declare his candidacy to fill the vacent Kerry football manager's job.
Ó Sé last managed Kerry in 2003. As well as winning eight All-Ireland medals as a player, he managed Kerry to two All-Irelands, two National League titles and seven Munster Championships before leading Westmeath to their first Leinster title.
It is understood that Ó Sé has been contacted by a number of clubs in Kerry urging him to declare his candidacy and that is expected to happen over the weekend.
