Seamus McCarthy has resigned his role as manager of the Tipperary senior football team, citing work and travel commitments as his reasons for the decision.
Tipperary endured a disappointing season - they were dumped out of the Tommy Murphy Cup in July before defeats to Kerry and Longford ended their interest in the Championship.
The county board are due to hold a meeting to discuss McCarthy's replacement, with selector Johnny Owens believed to be the favourite to land the role.
