Colm Coyle has been confirmed as the new manager of the Meath senior football team, following last night's meeting of the county board.

Former All-Ireland winner Coyle replaces Eamonn Barry, who spent just one year in change of the Royal County.

Tommy Dowd and Dudley Farrell were both confirmed as Coyle's selectors at the meeting.

'I'm not a bit surprised. I've been well aware of the situation for the past couple of months,' said Barry after being informed of the decision.
