Brian Crowe will referee the All-Ireland SFC final between Kerry and Mayo

The referees for the Bank of Ireland Senior Football and ESB Minor football All-Ireland finals were confirmed today.

The senior game between Mayo and Kerry will be controlled by Brian Crowe of Cavan, while Wexford's Syl Doyle will take charge of the minor game between Kerry and Roscommon.

Crowe brings much experience to his refereeing role but will be appearing in his first All Ireland Senior final. He has taken charge of senior championship games in Ulster and Munster as well as Leinster and he has also controlled two AIB All-Ireland club deciders.

This year he was on duty for both the Dublin v Laois Leinster semi-final and the All-Ireland quarter final between Dublin and Westmeath. A member of the Cavan Gaels club, he refereed throughout the Allianz League earlier in the year when his assignments included the Kerry-Dublin tie at Killarney in April.

Syl Doyle from Wexford takes charge of the minor final for the first time. An established referee within his county where he has officiated at a number of county finals, he is a member of the Ballyhogue club and has won minor and intermediate county titles as a player.

Among the games he refereed this year were Cork v Limerick in the Munster Football Championship and the Munster final replay between Kerry and Cork.
