Tyrone's injury crisis has deepened with the news that 2005 All-Ireland winning captain Brian Dooher will be out of action for six weeks.

Tests have revealed that the 29-year-old forward, who sat out last weekend's All-Ireland SFC qualifier draw with Louth, is suffering from a fractured kneecap.

Dooher injured his knee in an accidental clash with Ciaran Gourley during a recent training session. Subsequent tests have confirmed the worst possible news for Tyrone boss Mickey Harte.

2005 Footballer of the Year Stephen O'Neill (hamstring), Ger Cavlan (groin), Brian McGuigan (broken leg) and Kevin Hughes (suspended) are already on the Red Hands' lists of absentees.

The replay between Tyrone and Louth takes place at Healy Park in Omagh next Saturday.
