The news concerning the injury sustained by Donegal Forward Michael Doherty in the course of today's victory over Derry in the Bank of Ireland Ulster Football semi-final is much more positive than initial reports indicated.

The corner forward has been transferred to Letterkenny General Hospital from Cavan General Hospital this evening.

X-rays would indicate that Michael has not broken any bones but is still extremely sore following the accident which led to him being stretchered from the field.

He has suffered a mouth injury which he is also receiving treatment for.
