Westmeath boss Tomas O Flatharta and his selectors have made two changes from the side which lost to Offaly in the first round of the Leinster championship for Sunday's qualifier clash with London in Mullingar.
Brendan Nannery, who replaced James Davitt after 25 minutes of that clash, will start at full-back with Michael Ennis moving out to centre-back with Donal O'Donoghue reverting to corner-back.
The second change in personnel sees Derek Heavin coming into the side at right half-back, with skipper Damien Healy moving into the attack as Alan Mangan loses out.
Healy will lead the attack with Gary Dolan moving to full-forward as Denis Glennon moves to top of the right.
Last year Westmeath beat Tipperary by 0-12 to 1-8 in the first round of the qualifiers before bowing out to Clare on a 0-12 to 0-9 scorelines.
