Dublin manager Paul Caffrey has made three changes to his side for Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final against Longford (Pearse Park, throw-in 2.30pm).

Ciarán Whelan has recovered from shoulder and hamstring knocks to start in place of the injured Darren Magee at midfield. Magee is expected to return in late June after surgery on a broken wrist.

The other changes from the Dubs' last National League game against Kerry on 9 April, which resulted in a 0-13 to 0-13 draw, come in attack.

Kevin Bonner, the son of former Donegal star Seamus, comes in for Declan Lally in the half forwards with Alan Brogan switching from corner forward to centre-forward. Jason Sherlock misses out with Tomas Quinn returning at right corner-forward.

Both Bonner (St Brigid's) and right corner back Niall O'Shea of St Jude's will be making their championship debuts against the midlanders.

Caffrey's starting XV includes 11 players who started against Tyrone in last August's All-Ireland quarter-final replay defeat - Bonner, O'Shea, David Henry and Mark Vaughan are the new inclusions.

This is the third consecutive year that Dublin, the reigning Leinster champions, and Longford have met in the championship. The Dubs lead 14-2 in previous meetings with one draw.

Sunday's winners will face Laois or Carlow in a 25 June semi-final at Croke Park.

Dublin team: S Cluxton; N O'Shea, B Cahill, D Henry; P Casey, C Goggins, P Griffin; C Whelan, S Ryan; K Bonner, A Brogan, B Cullen; T Quinn, C Keaney, M Vaughan.
