Kildare's injury list grows

Regardless of how the subs controversy pans out, the Kildare management team are already counting the cost of their involvement in this weekend's Leinster senior football clash with Offaly in Croke Park.

Half-forwards Karl Ennis and Derek McCormack both face lengthy lay-offs after picking up injuries.

Both players were treated at the Mater Hospital after the match, with Ennis being diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder and McCormack with nerve damage in the AC joint in his shoulder.

Both players face a race to be fit for the first round of the All Ireland qualifiers on June 17.
