1995 All-Ireland winning hero Jason Sherlock will fill the hole left by the injured Tomas Quinn in the Dublin attack for Sunday's NFL Division 1A trip to Kerry.

Sherlock, out of action himself since the win over Offaly on March 4, will replace Quinn at centre forward in one of three changes Dublin manager Paul Caffrey has made to the side that thumped Mayo 4-10 to 1-10, two weeks ago.

St Jude's star Niall O'Shea is recalled at right corner back having recovered from the leg injury that saw him limp off in the defeat to Monaghan on February 12. He replaces Peadar Andrews, who has a groin complaint.

Owing to the shoulder injury that Ciaran Whelan picked up against Mayo, Shane Ryan and Darren Magee will partner each other at midfield.

Quinn's sidelining is a big blow as the St. Vincent's forward has been Dublin's top-scorer in league with 3-22 (2-00 pens, 0-13f, 0-04 '45s).

Caffrey has also made one positional switch with Paul Casey moving to right half-back from the corner back berth he occupied last time out.

Kilmacud Crokes forward Ray Cosgrove has been named amongst the substitutes for the first time in this year's League.

Caffrey's side could still make the semi-finals despite being fourth in the table and four points behind leaders Mayo. The Dubs need to beat Kerry by a minimum of five points and a win for Mayo over Tyrone - by a minimum of four points - would see both Dublin and Mayo progress into the last-four.

However, the Metropolitans boast a poor NFL record away to Kerry - their last League victory in the Kingdom was back in 1982 (0-08 to 0-07, Austin Stack Park, Tralee).
